About Kaori

ARCH registered colon hydrotherapist. Systematic kinesiologist. Master's degree in Nutritional Therapy. Former vegan chef. Over twenty years in practice, and with The Hale Clinic since 2009.

How I got here

I had asthma and severe eczema throughout my childhood and teens. Every cold brought on an asthma attack that would last a week. My eczema spread across my body, and I remember covering it in bandages for weeks and feeling mortified about going to school looking like a mummy.

By my late teens the asthma had gone, but in my early twenties my digestion became the problem. I was bloated after every meal, sometimes lying down for hours afterwards. My stomach felt like it had a balloon in it. I went five days between bowel movements and thought that was simply normal for me. I felt under the weather constantly, and my mood was all over the place.

What changed things was noticing that food was involved, and then becoming genuinely obsessed with understanding how. That curiosity turned into training as a vegan chef, and then into qualifications in naturopathy, nutrition, colonic hydrotherapy and systematic kinesiology. It took years, and a lot of trial and error.
So when someone tells me they've been dealing with this for a long time and feel like nobody's really listening, I'm not being polite when I say I understand. I've been there.

How I work

You won't leave with a long list and no idea where to start. I ask open questions, explain my reasoning as we go, and give you two or three specific things to focus on — small enough that you'll actually do them.

Every session is shaped around what you tell me. Systematic kinesiology helps me narrow down where to look, colon hydrotherapy is carried out carefully and at your pace, and my Master's degree in Nutritional Therapy means the dietary suggestions I give you are specific to you rather than generic.

What I want is for you to leave understanding your own body a little better than when you arrived.
